Location: Solbjerg Plads. v/Frederiksberg Center, Frederiksberg

It is a common practice to rotate images in order to study their composition. Some images appear as if they were meant to be seen upside down. Like this one, taken in Helsinki during Spring 2001.

I flip the photograph vertically in Photoshop. The cityscape is out of order, buildings take the place of the sky and vice versa. Her position becomes unsettling. The gesture of reaching up turns into hanging down, almost at the verge of falling.
